Flights from Kingston to U.S. normally go through Miami, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, or NYC. There are several flights a day; travel to and from Kingston is convenient. - May 2022

We are from Virginia. One of the things we like about this post is that flights to the US start at $200 round trip. Traveling home is cheap and easy. NO JET LAG. - Jan 2020
It takes about eight to ten hours to get to the West Coast. There are no direct flights there from Kingston. - Aug 2018

New York. 3.5 - 4 hour direct non-stop flights to and from Kingston with JetBlue and Caribbean Airlines. American Airlines connects via Miami (2.5 hour flight) and then onto Kingston (90 minute flight). Delta now offers service to and from Kingston via Atlanta (2.5 hour flight from Kingston). - Dec 2014
We frequently fly to NY which there are direct flights to on Jetblue, Caribbean Air, Delta and Fly Jamaica. A lot of other destinations connect through Atlanta and Miami. - Oct 2014

Midwestern US. 2 hour flight to Miami, and then on to home. It's easy to get to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but apart from that it's hard to get anywhere that doesn't have a large Jamaican population. Boston, NYC and DC are easy, the midwest and the East coast are expensive. Sometimes you can get charter flights from MoBay during the tourist season, but even that is tough. Delta just entered the market, so that might bring costs down a bit. It's much harder to get around the Caribbean or off the island in general than I had anticipated. - Dec 2013
