This is another area that ISKL struggled. ISKL employed numerous LR teachers who attend many professional development opportunities around the region, yet it was always a mystery as to how the LR system actually worked, especially at the elementary school level. Students with minor needs were denied LR services because they did not "qualify." The Admissions policy is to not accept students with special needs so there was always a question about who actually received these LR services. It seemed to be limited to a select few students. - Apr 2017
