Hard to tell--does a truly gifted child learn from living in Bangladesh, where a fifth grader might develop a micro-insurance programme for school janitors and run a store/develop a product for an economics unit? Many GT parents are frustrated that the school does not meet their child's needs. My GT student excelled--and was challenged without any special services. - Aug 2010
