Kampala - School Report Question and Answers

What extra-curricular activities (including sports) are available at this school? Have your children participated in these activities? What activities do you feel are missing at the school?

There are the usual sports teams that compete with other international schools in Kampala or internationally in the traveling program. Sports is adequate but not super-competitive or serious. There is also a music/drama program and an opportunity to participate in a school musical. Additionally, there are academic programs such as Model UN and others. It's a well-rounded set of activities. - Sep 2020

futball (soccer), basketball, and swimming as far as i know. Other activities change three times a year and have included various types of dance, cooking, art, music, sewing, drama (not seniors/DP2) - Nov 2019

There are after-school clubs such as cooking, gymnastics, capoeira, team sports, etc. My kids did dance and gymnastics for a few months and had a good time. Only thing missing is that it is quite sad that the school does not have a proper swimming pool and so the 'swimming' that is offered is less than ideal. - Sep 2018

swim, soccer, basketball, arts, hip-hop/dance, games galore, robotics, rugby, teaching deaf kids how to swim, tennis, reading club, dance/gymnastics, mountain biking, climbing wall, music/performance, astrophysics club, etc... (the list is much longer than this!) - yes our children have participated a quite a few of these. Our children miss the American sports - baseball/softball, american football - however, there is talk that this will be integrated in the after school activity program next year. - Jun 2018
