Monrovia - School Report Question and Answers

Are there are any problems with exclusionary behavior, cliques, or bullying at this school? Please describe any problems your children may have experienced in this area.

The school did a good job of handling bullying when we were there. Some kids decided to pick on my son for being older than other third-graders; when he told me about it, I contacted his teacher, who asked me to ask him to talk to her. He did so and she handled things well. The bullying stopped, and it seems she was kind to the bullies in helping them see the error of their ways. The whole group of kids actually ended up being friends (which I don't really get, but hey, my kid doesn't hold grudges). - Oct 2021

Our student has been verbally teased by a few of the 8th graders for his stand-offishness and preference to do phsysical activities on his own. He also likes a more disciplined classroom and other kids enjoy the looser environment, so he has been teased about that. Nothing, I'd say, out of the ordinary for the age group involved. - Dec 2013
