What services are available for gifted/advanced students at the school? Please describe your experience with these services, if applicable.
I have one child that was identified for the gifted program in VA before we moved. While the school doesn't have a gifted program in elementary, his teacher was amazing at offering him differential learning assignments to keep him learning and engaged. He probably could be challenged even more, but we knew going into this, the school didn't offer the same gifted resources he would have had access to in VA. The upper school offers AP and advanced levels for different classes I think. - Aug 2023
Nothing. I have a kid who is smarter than me and craves a challenge, but she’s too far ahead of her class and therefore pretty much on her own. I have to provide her with extra work in the afternoon to keep her stimulated. - Mar 2022
They divide the class into groups to work on topics. No specific gifted classes. - Sep 2020
Not sure and have been meaning to ask about it but the curriculum is challenging for all my kids so I haven't been worried. - May 2018
I'm not sure. My kids are generally at the top of their class academically, and when the teachers feel that they need extra challenge, they provide it. I haven't had any problems or concerns about this. My kids seem to be appropriately challenged. - Nov 2016
Yes, math and science, provided by instructors (one-on-one). - Oct 2011
