Berlin - School Report Question and Answers

Are the admissions and placement procedures clearly stated to prospective families, either on the school website or through other means of communication?

Admissions was fairly straightforward prior to arrival. The school website is kept up to date and that is the primary way the school communicates. Our new student orientation was pretty good, prior to the start of school. For locals, it's highly competitive to get in, so we USG folks have a unique privilege in getting to bypass lines for placement. That is huge. - Sep 2018

I would recommend contacting the school about admission as early as possible to increase the chances of getting in -- due to its size, there is a finite amount of space. Admissions were straight-forward, and we had a final interview with the children upon our arrival. - Oct 2015

The admission process is complicated. JFKS is a very desirable school for Germans. It is a bilingual public school with a very strong academic reputation so there is often a wait list. It is best to contact the school to ask about the admission process. - Apr 2014
