Yes. The school staff works hard to meet the needs of new students. We have a program to help transition students who do not speak English and provide the support they need. With our school buddy system, we try to pair existing students with new students to help familiarize them to JAIS and Jerusalem. All of our staff are committed to helping new students in any way we can. The PTA holds a new family picnic at the beginning of the year and the school has a whole-school sports day and community picnic where we get to know one another. It can be more of a challenge if a family comes mid-year, but we try to meet needs on an individual basis. - Mar 2015
