What household or grocery items do you wish you had shipped to post?
Any consumables you can imagine. - May 2015
Bleach, motor oil, wheat flour, ... but not toothpaste. - Apr 2015
If a USG employee allowed a consumables shipment, ship absolutely everything-- personal care items, cleaning supplies, and every food you might want to eat. If you have a special diet, this might not be the place for you. - Nov 2014
Actually I was told what to bring beforehand: paper products, white tuna, diet cola, shoes, books. - Sep 2013
This is a consumables post, and we took advantage of that to stock up on liquids such as juices, olive oil, and shampoo. I bought few things locally and planned carefully to make sure that I ordered birthday presents, clothes, or anything else I needed through the internet ahead of time. - Aug 2012
Plenty of American beer, canola oil, olive oil, American juices, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, basmati rice, presents for children's birthday parties, sun screen, cosmetics, paper products, etc. - Mar 2012
The commissary here does not sell anything, so bring anything you want/need. Birthday presents if your kids are the age where they'll be invited. Printer ink, spaghetti sauce, cheddar cheese (freeze it and put it in your checked luggage), anything electronic, vanilla (almost impossible to find it here). - Mar 2011
Diapers, Cereal, Any specialty flours and baking supplies and fresh produce, if I could. - Jan 2011
More items for entertaining at home. - Oct 2010
Consumables: paper goods, non-perishable items. Anything you're tied to in the States. - Sep 2010
Good beer, toilet paper, paper towel, detergent, dog food, baking goods (particularly white and brown sugar, specialty flours, cooking spray, evaporated milk, canned pumpkin and cranberries for the holidays), healthy/organic foods, maple syrup, very good tupperware, clothing and emergency supplies - Mar 2010
Pinto beans, tires, small gas generator, plastic fork/knives/spoons, good toilet paper, cleaning supplies...I can go on forever. - Mar 2010
Nothing. - Feb 2009
The misguided economic polices of the Chavez regime have virtually killed off any local industry, and the country lives on imports. If there is a crisis or shortage, you can go months without finding staples: milk, meat, chicken, toilet paper, medication. I would have shipped lots of toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning materials. - Nov 2008
