Chisinau - Post Report Question and Answers

Are local sports classes and/or activities available for kids?

There are some (soccer, dance, gymnastics, swimming) but the times they are offered and the traffic to get to the location made it difficult to participate. We could have tried harder. - Sep 2023

Yes, lots. Of course a lot of them do not have English-speaking instructors, but you if you're willing to pay a bit, you can find English-speaking instructors for everything from tennis to horseback riding. Expats sometimes organize for things like Saturday soccer/football for kids. - Apr 2019

Limited due to lack of knowledge of the local language, but there are always ways to find or organize something in English through networking. Many kids play tennis and there is an expats' soccer club that meets every Saturday (kids who go there are between 4 and 12 years old). If your kids speak Romanian or Russian, the list of activities is endless. There is a place called Artico that offers a wide ranges of activities for kids, and it is very cheap too. - Feb 2014

Yes, but they are fairly limited. - May 2010
