Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
If you don't speak Chinese or aren't Asian American it's a little hard to break into local groups. Foreigners tend to hang out with each other. In the housing complexes, many locals will blame foreigners for issues or think that we all have COVID. - Apr 2023

I've found it easy to make friends with locals, though the language barrier is the only restriction. If someone speaks English or is willing to suffer through my bad Chinese they are very open to friendship. - Dec 2018
