Guayaquil - Post Report Question and Answers

Are there problems with ethnic, race/racial minorities or religious prejudices? Gender equality?

There is some racial diversity here but not a lot. Where we live and work, I suspect it is fine, but I am not personally able to answer this question in the rest of the area or country. There is a celebration of diversity at the Consulate and a nice mixture of people. We are a diverse community here and I sense that there is complete support for all. This is a Catholic country so that flavors a lot of tolerance and acceptance, with no discrimination towards non-Catholics or non-religious. - Aug 2022
