What is the overall climate: is it extremely hot or cold, wet or dry, at any time of year, for example?
Temperature is always pleasant. It is very dry, however, most of the year. Due to how thin and dry the air is, the difference between shade and direct sun is STARK. Wear sunscreen. - Apr 2021
The climate is pretty even. The summer is wetter, but not by that much (evening showers, that kind of thing.) It's never extremely hot or cold. One thing to keep in mind--due to the elevation, even when the air is quite chill the sun is still extremely strong, so the difference between in the sun and in the shade can be quite extreme. Also, mind the sun, as you will burn faster than you think. - Dec 2019
Mild, sunny and beautiful! There is a summer rainy season, but even that is not as rain-soaked as I knew in the Caribbean. It gets just slightly chilly (sweater or jacket weather) in the evenings in Dec-Jan. Otherwise, it's mostly blue skies, mild temps and bright sun. The normal daytime temperature is in the 70s F (mid-20s C) - Feb 2019
Beautiful. Average 70 degrees all year. There is a chilly season, especially when the sun goes down, so you will still need warm clothes. Locals wear winter coats when it’s in the 50’s. I tend not to wear short sleeves due to the extreme UV and dry climate, because a breeze can be very cool. - Sep 2018
