Are there any particular mental health issues that tend to crop up at post, such as Seasonal Affective Disorder (winter blues)?
There's a bit of SAD concern, though nothing as bad as the Nordics, because winter kicks off in November and hangs on through March with a lot of rain, a fair bit of snow, and sunsets as early as 4:30pm. If you don't get out and walk around at lunchtime, you'll miss what little sun may appear. It doesn't hit as bad in December because you have the lovely Christmas lights that make everything appear cosy and like a hallmark movie, but January and February are a slog. - Jun 2024
