Kaohsiung - Post Report Question and Answers
What are the particular advantages of living in this city?
The weather is AMAZING in Kaohsiung, and working as a teacher is perfect since we avoided two of the three worst months (June/July/a bit of August). We never had to check the weather report because it was usually SUNNY, and WARM. It was 2 hours from the most southern tip of Taiwan, with gorgeous beaches. Traveling around the country is easy and offers such diversity of landscape - from waterfalls, mountains, beaches, cities, etc. Taiwan has the best of both worlds - for example, you can eat Chinese food for cheap, yet still be able to get a good burger. It's also incredibly safe to live here. - Aug 2011
