Are preschools available? Day care? Are these expensive? What has been your experience with them, if any? Do the schools provide before- and/or after-school care?
Preschool if subsidized for all children aged 3-5, 20 days a week. Day care is quite expensive. Many schools have before and after school programs, but they are expensive. - Jan 2021
There are many options for daycare, but these vary widely in quality from in-home providers to regional chains. Do your research before trusting someone with your kids, as Kiwis have a much greater tolerance for risk when it comes to child-rearing.
