How much of the local language do you need for daily living? Are local language classes/tutors available and affordable?
I've been told that the people here speak English, but it's hard to be certain since many New Zealanders are extremely soft-spoken. Also, the local patois involves adding “i.e." to the end of words: breakfast becomes brekkie, presents become prezzies, etc. - Mar 2016
