Riyadh - Post Report Question and Answers

What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections? How easy/difficult is it to travel to this city/country?

Arlington, VA. About 18-20 hours, through Doha. Pretty easy to travel back home. There is a direct flight to Dulles but we are currently not allowed to use. - Dec 2024


USA - Trip to post usually had multiple connecting flights with usually about 24 hours of transit time. - Jul 2021


US. People often connect through Paris. - Feb 2018


Washington, D.C. I'd guess eight hours to Frankfurt, and about eight more to Riyadh via Lufthansa. - Oct 2017


West Coast -- 5 1/2 hours to Frankfurt then 12 hours to San Francisco. - Jan 2017


Washington, D.C. About 8 hours to Frankfurt, and another 5 hours from Frankfurt to Riyadh. - May 2016


Ohio. 16-20 hours depending on airports/connections. - Nov 2015


Washington DC. Six hours to Frankfurt/Munich/London, then nine hours to DC. - Oct 2015

My home base is in California, I have found that you can fly from Riyadh via Frankfurt to San Francisco, or via Hong Kong to San Francisco. - Jul 2010

Central US. 14 hours to the east coast (via Europe) if you're flying on the USG's dime. Then another 3+ hours home. - Dec 2009
