What typical restaurants, food delivery services, and/or takeout options are popular among expatriates?
You can have anything delivered even just a couple of bubble drinks. There are various kinds of restaurants, Asian and Western and some are pretty good and reasonably priced. Many great Sichuan restaurants. - Aug 2017

Sichuanese food is cheap, delicious and quite fast. There's a McDonald's and KFC down the block from the Consulate and at other locations around town. There are several "Chengdu good" Western restaurants (i.e. its good if you've lived there long enough!) as well as a smattering of Japanese, Thai and other restaurants that range from bad to pretty good depending on what you order and how long its been since you've had the "real thing." The real joy of living in Chengdu though is eating the local food. You might get sick of it eventually, but it's so good you'll eventually be back out for more. - Aug 2013
