Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?

We use AGEAS mission business plan and like it. We pay 70chf for unlimited everything in all of Europe/US/ and about 100 other countries. They have cheaper plans for kids, 30chf for Switzerland, and 50-60chf/month for Europe plans. Not having to worry about changing SIM cards in the US and while traveling is huge! - Jun 2022

I do not have enough connections to the US. We have both Swiss and French mobiles. - Jul 2018

I went with a pre-paid SIM with Orange and it was extremely cheap and easy. Coverage was fine. - Mar 2014

They work fine, but are also expensive. - Mar 2014

No, but it is much more expensive than in the US. - Mar 2013

You can get them here, like in any European city. The normal sort of thing on that subject. - Feb 2012

For cell phones, use the pay-as-you-go plans. The SIM cards can be ordered ahead of time and shipped to you in the US,. Then all you have to do is activate them on arriving in CH. The rates are very good, even on international calls. And you do not have to pay to receive international calls on them. I used LEBARA. - Jul 2009
