Muscat - Post Report Question and Answers

What accommodations do schools make for special-needs kids?

No real experience, but I would be surprised if TAISM doesn't have a program for special-needs kids. - Jun 2012

Some. TAISM has an excellent elementary-school counselor. - May 2012

At TAISM, they do have specialists who evaluate for learning disabilities. I knew a woman who they suggested her child might have slight autism and they were willing to work with the family in this regard. Other than that I don't have any experiences. - Apr 2010

Not too much. Think they can handle minor issues but its best to contact the school before accepting an offer for Muscat. - Feb 2010

I recall that TAISM has some capacity to address special needs, and will often make reasonable accomodations. Best to check with them directly. - Jan 2010

You would need to contact the school with your child's specific needs. Both TAISM and ABA have learning support (ESL, dyslexia, etc); but I don't know the extent of what they provide. - Mar 2009
