What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?
Local salaries are very low and jobs are competed over intensely. Most spouses telework. Proximity to Europe can help for some jobs. - Jan 2024

Not at all. Tunisians will work for MUCH less than Americans, French or Italians. Plus you have to be fluent in French AND Arabic. - May 2010
No. It's difficult to find work here unless you teach or are in nursing. I've seen quite a few nurses land work at the embassy and school. - Jan 2010
