What have been the highlights of your time in this country? Best trips or experiences?
Our winter trips to Mavrovo mountain for skiiing were great- facilities aren't great but it was just nice to get out of the bad air. There are some beautiful wineries and historic ruins as well (Stobi, Lazar, Popova Kula). For the most part, very friendly locals. - Jun 2023

It is SO inexpensive; it's a great opportunity to try things we couldn't afford back home. Skiing is incredibly cheap, so it's a great place to learn to ski (outside of the city where the pollution is not bad). Also $20 flights to Budapest. - Jan 2019

I have loved traveling both in my car and via Wizz Air (an incredibly discounted airline). I have never had such delicious and fresh produce. I love being able to afford the services of drivers, nannies, and housekeepers (US$4/hour for housekeepers, less for babysitters). I love being somewhere where expats are so welcome. - Oct 2013
