Please. The toughest part of this city is calmer than the safest section of DC. You do hear about muggings occasionally., but most of the crime seems to be directed from gangster-to-gangster. Security can be a concern for minorities, including racial and sexual minorities. Complaints about beatings or harassment are common. - May 2009
