What kind of car do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car do you advise not to bring?
In the city itself, a car is useless: traffic is heavy, streets are narrow, drivers are crazy and parking space is very limited. A small car is useful for trips to the countryside. Roads are good, gasoline is the cheapest in Western Europe. Renting is OK if you manage a deal for a couple of days. - Oct 2008
