What is the air quality like at post (good/moderate/bad)? Are there seasonal air quality issues? Does the air quality have an impact on health?
No issues. Can get dusty/sandy during sand storms. - Dec 2021

There are good and bad days. In late spring there are dust storms and you won't see the blue sky for as long as a week. Everything gets sand and dust inside and outside your house, it can be very difficult. Allergies can really act up here as well since we are close to the Med and the desert. - Aug 2021
I think the air is good! I'm basing this on the fact that there are so many blue sky days in Algiers. I walk fairly often and breathing in the exhaust on the roads is not great, but I haven't noticed many pollution issues here. - Apr 2021

Algiers has bad air quality when the rains don't wash the air out for more than a day or two. Too many cars, and neighbors burning trash. The damp also promotes mold like you wouldn't believe. - Sep 2016

Normal for any big city, perhaps even slightly better because we're right on the sea and there's usually a reasonable breeze, so pollution doesn't settle. I've never heard anyone express any concerns. - Mar 2014
