What kinds of gyms or other sports/workout facilities are available? Are they expensive?

The American Club has a good gym and is not expensive. - Apr 2021

There is gym on the south side of the river, I've heard it's a bit expensive. The American club has a small gym with weights and a few treadmills/stationary bikes, and a pool. Use comes with membership. I've heard about tennis and squash court, but not sure of price. - Apr 2017

Small gym on embassy compound. Larger gym at American Club. Nice gym available at the Radisson hotel. - Aug 2014

This is also a problem for many expats. I would recommend bringing workout equipment. It is a good investment. - Jul 2011

Budo club in Badalabougou is the best gym. They also have another branch in Quinzambougou but much smaller. - Jul 2011

The American Club has an OK gym. There is a gym called Budo Club in Badalabougou. Most people who joined are satisfied with it. - Oct 2010

Some hotels have gyms but they are not very good. There's good gym called Budo club that most expats use. The embassy does not have a gym. - May 2010

Not really, and this is a major gripe. Admin is trying to work on this, but there's nothing carved in stone. At this point I'd say bring your own stuff...that's what I did. The American Club has a gym, but it is pathetic. - Sep 2009

Yes-Budo Club. Nice facility that has been renovated and has aerobic classess. Exercise equipment avail. Somewhat pricey but will allow you to try them for a few days for free. - Apr 2009

This is a major problem. Why WHY WHY is there no gym at this brand new Embassy? The gyms here are expensive and small. Bring your own treadmill. - Feb 2009

There's a small workout room at the club. That's all I really knew of. But there was a great Yoga teacher while I was there. - Feb 2009

Several of the major hotels offer gym memberships. As is everything else in the city, it can be expensive. - Jan 2009
