Bamako - Post Report Question and Answers
What English-language religious services are available locally?
Mosques and churches, not sure of denominations. No Jewish services that I'm aware of. - Apr 2017
All denominations are here. The missionary community is huge here: Seventh Day Adventists, Baptists, Evangelicals, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Catholics, etc. You can find French and Bambara services. There's an English fellowship service on Sunday evenings at the Bamako Coura church downtown. - Jul 2011
I think the American Protestants organize some type of service on Sundays. There is a Catholic mass in Bamako's cathedral, but I don't know if they have English services. For Muslims there are plenty of options, but sermons are likely to be in Bambara or Arabic. No Jewish services available to my knowledge. - Oct 2010
2 service. Bible study at the american school sunday morning and service at 1800 near the french cultural center. - May 2010
Protestant Sunday School each Sunday morning at AISB and an english fellowship each Sunday evening at the Protestant Mission downtown. A small 7th Day Adventist church is in town (in French). No Mormon churches or Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Halls. There is Catholic mass at the cathedral each week, although it may only be in French. I don't believe there are any synagogues. Lots of mosques, though, obviously none in English. - Sep 2009
