What do you wish you had known about this particular city/country before moving there?
I was really looking forward to seeing at least St. Petersburg, Suzdal, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, and maybe a few other places, but shortly after arriving all travel requests were denied. Tbilisi, Georgia is a three hour flight away with great weather in the fall, though. - Dec 2023
Get out and see the city. I was intimidated to go to Moscow based on what other people told me and once I arrived that went away. You can find whatever you need at grocery stores, shopping in available, there are big nice movie theaters with english language, and the every day people were very friendly.
