Flights from the U.S. are either via Amsterdam (KLM/NW), London (American/BA), or Frankfurt ( United/Lufthansa). Different people prefer certain routes, but no matter how you cut it up, it will take over 24 hours of travel time to get from the East coast in the U.S. to Almaty. - Mar 2008
