Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?
We didn't have any pets, but I do not think there are any quarante requirements. People drove their pets back and forth across the border weekly. - Apr 2023
There are many vets available and most are very good. No quarantine necessary for import to Mexico, just the standard vaccines and paperwork. You should have that, but generally no one checks going into Mexico or back into the U.S. Plenty of vets in the U.S. too if you prefer. Pet Clinic accepts Mexican vets' prescriptions for prescribed medicines or food unavailable or more expensive in Mexico. - Nov 2017
