What is the relative size of the expatriate community? How would you describe overall morale among expatriates?
There are very few expats, but like almost anywhere, there are some well-known ones, like the Belgian who owns a pub or the American with the barbecue and brewery. Western expats probably number in the hundreds, especially post-pandemic. There are likely more East Asian expats. - Jul 2021
It is a medium-small expat community, but it seems to be growing, especially as the US consulate expands (though the French car companies are diminishing). I feel like it is big enough that you meet a variety of people from all over the world, but small enough where you do eventually know some people at all the expat events you attend. - Jan 2020
