What are the particular advantages of living in this city?
The incredibly low cost of living. Especially if you are coming with USD, you will have unlocked an unofficial exchange rate, and your dollars will go very far. The weather is beautiful and the lake is too (except you can’t really swim in it in Bujumbura because of the hippos and the crocodiles, so go south to Sunstone Beach for that). Discovering the beauty of a place that many have never even heard of. - Aug 2023
