What volunteer opportunities are available locally?
Lots. Fewer if you don't speak any German, but still lots. In my experience Germans of all backgrounds tend to be very civic minded and very interested in volunteering. To this day the Berlin community response to the first wave of Ukrainian refugees in early 2022 remains one of the things that's most impressed me about Germany and the Germans. - Aug 2023
