Do you recommend any books or movies about this city/country for those who are interested in learning more?
All the obvious ones: Goodbye Lenin, The Lives of Others, Run Lola Run, Wings of Desire, etc. More modern shows, too, like Babylon Berlin. If you can get into at least one long running German show before you arrive (Tatort, Dark, etc.) you'll never want for conversation with Germans. Pick at least one German soccer team and vaguely follow it, it makes things more fun. - Aug 2023
