Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
I mean this kindly, but (with important exceptions) most Germans you will encounter formed their friendships in elementary school aren't looking for new friends. This is less true as you get into more recent arrivals and Germans of what they call a "Migrationshintergrund" - but I would just be prepared for that. As with any post, be positive and kind, and you will find your people. - Aug 2023
