Durban - Post Report Question and Answers
What kind of vehicle(s) including electric ones do you recommend bringing to post, given the terrain, infrastructure, availability of parts, burglary/carjacking risks, etc.? What kind of car or vehicles do you advise not to bring?
They drive on the other side of road here, so buy a car upon your arrival. We have a small fuel-efficient car for city travel, as well as a bigger Toyota Fortuner (Forerunner) for day trips and long weekends out of the city. Unpaved roads are common, pot holes, flooding, etc., are all part of the reality and adventure. - Sep 2024
