Washington, DC. Many options, there are non-stop flights to/from Abu Dhabi from multiple cities in the U.S. and Europe. We connected through Europe on PCS because of Fly America. Non-stop flight is about 14 hours. - Jun 2022
We have lived all over the US. The flight from DC was seven hours to London and seven and a half hours to Abu Dhabi... we had a seven hour layover too. - Feb 2020
There is a direct flight to Frankfurt, which takes about 6-6.5 hours. The non-stop flight to Amsterdam and Paris is 7 hrs long, non-stop to London takes 7 hrs 40min. ?From there, you can fly pretty much anywhere in the world. All major airlines fly out of here and Dubai, plus there are a few budget airlines. The airports in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are both very nice and easy to get around. - Jun 2019

New York, NY. Non-USG travelers can take advantage of a number of direct flights from the U.S. (fourteen hours nonstop from Dulles). Those subject to Fly American tend either to take United to Dubai (although Embassy Abu Dhabi will not assist travelers arriving in Dubai) or fly via Europe, mostly Frankfurt. - Aug 2011
