Luxembourg City - Post Report Question and Answers

What typical restaurants, food delivery services, and/or takeout options are popular among expatriates?

There are many different options from a host of nationalities and food types/styles, too many to name. - Jun 2017

Restaurants are very expensive here. A normal meal in a sit-down restaurant for lunch would be about US$15 (min); dinner US$25 min. - Mar 2016

There are a few American fast-food restaurants available, such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and Subway. But even better are the many cafes, bistros, and restaurants --- including those with a Michelin star. - Jul 2015

Yes, there's fast food, but who would need it when you've got all these cafes? It's expensive here, no doubt - but look where you're living. You don't come here to save money if you're on assignment, unless of course if you are looking for a lower tax liability which it's heard is the reason there are so many international companies here. - Aug 2012

All fast food is available here - slightly more expensive. - Sep 2011

McDonald's. Pizza Hut. Subway. Quick. Chi-Chi's. Lots of local pizza places (but I haven't found much good pizza). A LOT of Michelin-rated restaurants here. That said, prices are high. - Sep 2010

Subway, McDonald's and Pizza Hut are available but expensive. - Apr 2010

McD's and a few Subway's, as well as two Pizza Hut's and one Chi-Chi's Mexican (though it sucks). Restaurants are very pricey, the and food isn't that great. The local dishes don't excite the palate -- if you know what I mean. - Oct 2009
