What is your home city/country? How long is the trip to post from there, with what connections? How easy/difficult is it to travel to this city/country?
USA. There are no direct flights between the United States and Malta, so there is a connection through Europe. Travel arrangements are easy as there are many flights to connect, but you can expect 13-20+ hours of travel to get there from the east coast of the United States. - May 2023
Malta to US flights connect easily through Germany, Italy, UK or other major cities that have standard flights to the US; this adds not much more than a couple hours of transit time. - Oct 2018
Washington, DC. Flights are generally through Frankfurt (8 hours) and then a 2-5 hour layover and another 2.5 hours to Malta. Other routings from US are via Rome or, most recently for some, Paris. - Sep 2016
