Valletta - Post Report Question and Answers

Is this a good city for single people? For couples? For families? Why or why not?

Many singles I know dated locally and enjoyed themselves. There are a lot of activities and opportunities for a social life for couples and families as well. I would say that it all depends on your openness to the experience and the attitude you bring to expat living in Malta. The people that I knew had a hard time adjusting were those who did not live close to other embassy community families or were single and housed in more residential areas, with no nearby nightlife. - May 2023

Yes, Yes, Yes. Similar culture to Italy, great weather and outdoor activities, plenty of kids parks only inhibited by the weather. - Oct 2018

Good for all. There are things for all to do. Singles, families, etc. - Sep 2016

Find it to be great for all! Couple and singles should have a great time, especially if they enjoy the outdoors or history. Families with smaller children may enjoy more, as older kids may occasionally lack for things to do. - Jan 2014

Singles/couples. - Feb 2010

Malta is family and children friendly and you'll find both in welcome quantities everywhere you go. SIngles will find a relatively small number of enlightened venues and an insular local population. Many foreigners on the island. - Feb 2010

Yes. Families seem to have it best, as the country is very family oriented; however, both couples and singles find that the variety of events makes this a good place to live. - Jul 2009
