Just how much division and resentment exists between the US Consulate in Johannesburg and the US Embassy in Pretoria. The Consulate is run much more like an Embassy annex than like an actual constituent post with a bit of dysfunction in my opinion. Some offices seem very difficult to work with. - Aug 2022
