Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
Easy to make friends. Prejudices exist, but tend not to effect tourists or the diplomatic community. - Apr 2022
The Surinamese are extremely friendly and laid back. We've made friends here, and it's made our time here much more fun. Suriname is a very diverse society, and they're proud of how many people from different ethnic, religious, and national backgrounds get along here. - Feb 2020
