Morale among expats:
Good. Although there doesn't seem to be a lot of good friendships between expats and locals, unless they are relatives. - Apr 2012

Excellent, with occasional frustrations with the difficulty of daily logistics in Beirut. Morale among embassy staff is pretty good, but most people are ready to leave after two years because of the movement restrictions and the relatively heavy workload. Life at the embassy is really what you make of it, and we've been having a great time. - Jul 2010
