Do you have any recommendations regarding mobile phones? Did you keep your home-country plan or use a local provider?

The easiest SIM cards to get are prepaid because as a diplomat your Danish CPR number (SSN) is administrative only and won't allow you to sign up for services. If you have high speed internet with YouSee, they will allow you to get a sim chip with a substantial deposit. - Jun 2021

Getting a SIM card is easy through the embassy. Bring a GSM phone or you can get one here. If you want a smart phone, bring an unlocked version and you will be fine. - Feb 2014
