Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?
Yes, there are many qualified veterinarians in Monterrey, including some who offer house calls. Pet boarding and pet-sitting services are also available. Pets arriving from the U.S. do not require quarantine but may be inspected upon entry. Mexico allows up to two pets per person without additional fees. - Mar 2025

Vets are available. Please note that transport of large animals can be difficult due to the size of the planes. Several new arrivals have had to pay to have their peta driven in from Texas to Monterrey by one of the local vets as they did not fit on the plane. Please contact GSO for information. - Aug 2015
