What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?
There are jobs available within the Consulate. There are jobs in the city as well, but you need to know the language and I imagine the pay won't be very good. - Feb 2023

There are some EFM jobs at the Consulate. The spouses who work in the local schools say the salary is really low. Minimum wage in Mexico is US$5/hr. Some spouses work in El Paso.
