Minsk - Post Report Question and Answers

Are preschools available? Day care? Are these expensive? What has been your experience with them, if any? Do the schools provide before- and/or after-school care?

Read my comment above about schools where I also mentioned preschools. QSI has a preschool and people are very happy with it. Our daughter loved it and still talks about it. There are also local private preschool options and you can find them on Instagram and many have websites as well. They typically cost around 500-600/month. Our daughter goes to a local preschool and has already started saying some Russian words and singing songs. She also enjoys swimming classes there. - Oct 2021

QSI-Minsk has a preschool and it costs about US $7700/year. Some expat families have used local Belarusian preschools. They seem to be happy with the local preschool. It costs US $400/month for a half-day and US $600/month for a full-day. - Apr 2019

QSI has a preschool starting at age three, though I did hear of an exception they made for a two-and-a-half year old. It's a half-day program, and they eat lunch there. We haven't bothered to send our three-and-a-half year old, so I can't comment on it. There are also some local ones, but like the local schools, they're in Russian. - Oct 2011
