Medical and dental care are below western standards. The embassy medevacs staff for all non-emergency surgeries. Most prescription drugs are available, but the quality of local generics varies. - Apr 2019
The water here is very hard, so people with eczema or other skin issues may have problems with that. Otherwise, none. Many things are now medevac'd out, as the Embassy no longer really has a health unit. A local doctor works with the embassy and comes in to staff the health unit, and he's great, but anything serious will be medevac'd out. - Oct 2011
