Minsk - Post Report Question and Answers

Are there problems with ethnic, race/racial minorities or religious prejudices? Gender equality?

There is not a lot of diversity here but I haven't noticed anything that stands out being an asian except that waitresses are much nicer to my white husband. - Oct 2021

I have not observed ethnic or religious prejudices. It does seem to be a male-dominated society, but not necessarily oppressive. - Apr 2019

The majority of the people here are caucasian, but I do occasionally see minorities. Asians or those with an asian appearance are the most likely to be seen. I have not heard of any prejudice issues in regards to race, religion, or gender. I will say that they are very proud of people who have two or more children. We have five, and have had people stop us on the street to ask if they're all ours and then congratulate us and call us heroes. - Oct 2011
